We all dream of a life filled with love, faith, and purpose.
For me, that dream was simple, I longed for a family built on love, where faith was our foundation and joy was woven into everyday moments. I had pictured a home filled with warmth, laughter, and faith. Instead, I found myself walking through a storm I never saw coming.
What started as a promise of love and partnership slowly unraveled into something I never expected. The weight of pain, rejection, and circumstances beyond my control pressed in on me. I knew God was with me I had never doubted that but I found myself caught in a battle I had never faced before.
Pain and abuse have a way of stirring things inside you that you didn’t even know were there. Emotions I had never experienced before began to surface. Thoughts I never thought I could have. The weight of everything I was walking through felt unbearable at times, and I wrestled with the reality of my own weakness.
This wasn’t just about enduring pain. It was about learning to surrender.
I didn’t know the journey I was stepping into when I said, “I do.” I couldn’t have imagined the pain and struggle that would follow or the unexpected beauty that would emerge from the ashes.
Along the way, I faced rejection, fear, and isolation. I wrestled with guilt, self-doubt, and the lie that I wasn’t enough. But through it all, I found a God who never abandoned me, even when I felt most alone.
