Genesis 16 – Hagar’s story begins
Genesis 21 – We see Hagar again

This book is one of my favorites, because in it we get to talk about the most important relationship there is, our relationship with Jesus. Not just knowing about Him, but actually being with Him.
There’s something inside of us that longs for that. To be known, loved, and to not feel alone. And that kind of closeness is only found with Him.
In these pages, I share parts of my own story… moments I’ve had with Him, and what it has looked like for me to learn how to be with Him in a real and personal way.
My mom taught me at a very young age to make time and space for God. She showed me how to pray and what it looked like to talk to Him, and those moments stayed with me. But over time, something began to shift. It wasn’t just something I had been taught anymore, I started to realize I could go to Him on my own.
When I was little, I didn’t have it all figured out. I didn’t know how to explain it or even what it fully meant. I just knew I wanted to be with Jesus. I would find quiet moments, sit with Him, talk to Him, and stay longer than I planned because it felt real to me.
Somewhere in that, He became more than just someone I prayed to, He became my closest friend. And as that relationship grew, so did my trust. So did my faith.
Then we step into the story of the Shunammite woman.
When I read her story, it felt familiar to me. She didn’t just believe in God, she made room for Him. She prepared a place for His presence to stay. It wasn’t rushed or forced. It was something she chose.

The second part of this book slows down and walks through that together. It’s an 8-week devotional Bible study where we take it one step at a time, going through the story of the Shunammite woman and what it looks like to make room for God in a real and personal way.
Each week focuses on a different part of her story, learning how to create space for His presence, how to stay with Him in the quiet moments, and how to trust Him even when life doesn’t make sense. You’ll be guided through Scripture, given space to reflect, and invited to sit with Him in a way that feels personal, not rushed.
As you walk through this study, my heart is that you would grow closer to Jesus, begin to make room for Him in your life, and build a stronger relationship with Him.
John 14:23
“Jesus answered him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’”
2 Kings 4:10
“Please, let us make a small room on the roof with walls, and let us put there a bed for him, and a table, and a chair, and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”
