Hi Friend, I’m Katie.
For most of my life I carried the lie that I wasn’t enough—the girl who struggled to read, who hid her papers marked in red, who believed she would never measure up. Writing was the last thing I ever thought I could do.
But God had a different story. Out of the very place I felt weakest, He asked me to write. He gave me the words, the strength, and the courage to share my story—not to show what I could do, but to testify to what He has done.
Today I write the Resting in His Presence series, a collection of memoir-style devotionals and Bible studies that reveal His strength in the middle of our weakness and His presence in the middle of our ordinary lives.
My prayer is simple: that as you read these books, you won’t just see my story—you’ll encounter His presence in your own. Because the same God who carried me is the One who longs to carry you. And when you lean into Him, you’ll discover what I have: His love is always enough.
When I’m not writing, you’ll often find me living out this same story of leaning in the everyday moments of life—as a wife, as a mom of three, and as a friend. Whether it’s around the kitchen table, in the car, or in quiet prayers whispered over my children, I keep finding His presence to be the most extraordinary gift of all.

Our Mission
At Resting in His Presence, everything begins with a story—because testimony matters. I don’t write because it comes easily. In fact, writing has been one of the hardest struggles of my life. On my own, I simply couldn’t do it. But God called me, and when He asked me to write, He also gave me the words, the strength, and the courage to obey.
Every book, every Bible study, and every journal in this series is a testimony that I could never have created by myself. Each one is a living reminder of His goodness and His faithfulness. What once felt like weakness has become the very place He shows His strength. What once looked like wasted years has become stories that carry His glory.
That is why Resting in His Presence exists: to encourage weary hearts, strengthen faith, and remind every person that they are not alone. Through honest stories and Spirit-led teaching, we long to help others grow deeper in their walk with Christ. Because it’s not about perfection—it’s about His presence.
We believe His presence changes everything. And if you see anything good here, know this: it is not me. It is Jesus. In my weakness, He is strong. In my story, He is the Author. And to Him alone belongs all the glory, now and forever.
